Very smart and I appreciated her asking me questions and she also knew about an eye disease that I have that nobody else has ever known or understood. I appreciated that.

I recently had a rectal exam, and I was very uncomfortable with how the entire process was handled. The doctor brought a nurse into the room, then immediately asked me to undress in front of both of them. I was not offered a gown or given any privacy to change, which is not standard practice and showed a disregard for patient dignity and confidentiality.After the exam, the nurse held a tissue up to my rectal area, waiting for me to take it. This felt awkward and inappropriate, especially given how exposed and vulnerable I already felt. I was not given a moment alone to clean up or redress; neither the doctor nor the nurse left the room at any point before or after the procedure. The entire experience felt invasive, unprofessional, and embarrassing.Additionally, when I asked the provider several questions about my condition and the exam, she didn’t seem very knowledgeable or confident in her responses. This added to my discomfort and left me feeling uncertain and unsupported.Patient privacy, professionalism, and clear communication are essential in any medical setting, and unfortunately, I felt that all of these were lacking during my visit.
