Psychiatry

Welcome to our psychiatry residency program. Our mission as psychiatrists is to help people recover from mental illness and stay well. We have an energetic, enthusiastic faculty with a wide range of skills who are eager to teach you. We are looking for residents who are optimistic, energetic, passionate about helping people with mental illnesses, and eager to learn as much as possible about how to do it.

You will be working with a wide variety of colleagues in two Trinity Health hospitals-Trinity Health Livonia and Trinity Health Ann Arbor. You will learn to do a comprehensive biopsychosocial evaluation of a patient, identify the patient's strengths, prescribe medications safely and effectively, conduct individual and family therapy in a helpful manner, and collaborate with others in the community who interact with or can help your patient.
